Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.

Why it may be perceived negatively

It’s hard to imagine why anyone would be opposed to this one, but I’m sure there are people who are. And they are probably religious -_-

Why the issue should not be ignored

Despite the fact that most people would agree with this basic guideline, it is still far from being a worldwide reality. In some places sharia law means that if a woman is raped she can be held accountable, and sometimes put to death! Elsewhere, legal systems are far from perfect, with sentences often considered disproportionate to the crimes, as in the example below:
 

What could be achieved?

A fair worldwide society where every person, and indeed every nation, can feel safe and protected by the law.
